This app is a Budget simulator. It is independent: it is not produced, endorsed or approved by HM Government, HM Treasury or the Office for Budget Responsibility. It shows a teaching model, not official figures and not a forecast.

Common questions
The app says it cannot reach the Budget engine. Costing is calculated on our server, so the app needs an internet connection. Check your connection and tap Retry. Your saved paper is kept.
Where do the numbers come from? From published government data under the Open Government Licence. Open the (i) button in the app, then About & sources, for the full list.
Is this a forecast of the real Budget? No. The model is based on OBR's March 2026 forecast with information to 3 March 2026, and you set the 2027-28 Budget. It does not include later Budgets, and it does not show the net effect on the public finances.
Where are my papers stored? Only on your phone. Deleting the app deletes them.
